MATH REPULSER

The use of breakout boxes into the top handle of Speak's is common practice nowadays.  So when I got this Alesis ModFx Ampliton from ebay and noticed it fit right in between there I just had to do it. I used a small saw to cut out a piece of the handel, but it's turned out not to be the best way to work. As the blade has some thickness and rough edges the cut isn't realy pristene.

And I can be a fasttidious ars pincher. Ah well, doesn´t look all that bad.

I had a piece of keyboard left from a Yamaha MK-100 I shortened to make it more compact.   This time I used a sharp thin kichen knife to cut out a piece of the casing and incorporated it into my Speak&Math as well. The first cut along a ruler, then score into the same groove repeatedly. Total control, no ragged edges, 90 degree corners, no loss of material. I used the leftover pieces of casing to extend the case to cover the keyframe bottom. And lots of hotglue as usual.

I saw Speak's with keys before at Caspar Electronics.  http://www.casperelectronics.com/old_default.htm  ( I shouldn't do this link. It's too gorgeous. First see the rest of my stuff! Will take just a little time)

The keyboard is used for momentary bends and duplicates of functions for faster acces.  So there's no scale of notes . Still, there are some "beeps" connected and pitch effects to be had. Not your "Wohl temperiertes klavier" I dare say. Naming it "Ill tempered" has been used unfortunately. Well, I don't care all that much for names, although it's a benders custom.

Still, I found one. Math has always repulsed me. Now it's my turn.   I dub thee: The Math Repulser.

Update 02-05:  Damn, I think I fried the Ampliton. So this one needs a reworking.
