Alesis HR-16

WARNING!!!

Be carefull with your HR-16 / HR-16B. Some pioneers have fried several devices and recommend  using ONLY the EPROM chips.

Multiple points can be interconnected, although the more bends you connect the more likely it is to crash it.  Three to four points interconnected is just about the maximum. To be relatively crashfree restrict yourself to connecting maximum three points together or two seperate bends.

Finding the EPROM is easy. Below left: these 25 points I selected at the EPROM and connected to a DB25 parallel port.  To the right: use of hotglue to prevent wires from shaking and breaking off.

Demo: HR16 as a synthesizer. A pattern was recorded with the "Fill" function on and quantise on 64th notes.  Then played and engaging bends with one of my external controllers with momentary on buttons.
